  • What is VoIP?
VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is cloud-based technology that converts voice communication into digital data pockets and sends the information via internet connection rather than the traditional landline telephone infrastructure.
  • What are the benefits of VoIP?
Advanced cloud-based VoIP services offer uninterrupted communication, streamlined collaboration, and overall improved productivity. A cloud phone system connects your desktop, mobile, and landlines and allows you to use your preferred devices from any desired location.
  • What kind of equipment is needed for VoIP?
The equipment needed for VoIP is quite simple, all that you need (aside from service) is a phone (for example, Cisco, Polycom, Yealink, and Snom.) Many VoIP providers offer their users a virtual number service which will forward incoming calls to your preferred device, such as a mobile phone.
  • Can I keep my existing phone number and use VoIP phone?
Yes, in 1993 the FCC (Federal Communication Commission) made number porting mandatory therefore, most VoIP providers allow you to port your phone number. There are some common requirements that must be met, such as paying the applicable porting fee.
  • Do I need fast internet connection to use VoIP?
We always recommend fast internet connection for VoIP users. Having fast, reliable internet will ensure that you have high-quality VoIP. Underestimating your bandwidth can result in call quality issues, causing delays and dropped connections.
